Who is
TheGivingMom?

Karissa is a stay at home mother of two, married to an Airborne Infantryman in the US Army. She coined herself The Giving Mom during one of the deployments she and her family survived; feeling the pressure to give all of herself to her children (through the practices of EC, babywearing, breastfeeding, and cosleeping), she knew she needed to find a way to receive. Kundalini yoga has empowered her to do just that, and now she invokes the energy straight from our source. Let her guide you to your own expansive practice.

I began sharing my mothering journey on Instagram a few years back, and it has morphed into sharing my yoga journey, and now I'm finding a balance in sharing my yogic mothering journey. Kundalini has given me so many tools to awaken to my true purpose, and the meditation has transformed my life in many ways. I feel my true calling is to share my knowledge with others so that they too can transform their lives and awaken to the peace and empowerment of feeling connected to the whole. I hope to inspire you to dig deeper and open up to new ideas that can expand your awareness. Thank you for visiting, extending to you all my blessings, my love and light.

When you block your right nostril, and hold Surya mudra with the left hand, and begin the breath of fire through the left nostril only; it is believed to create a benign radiation that no virus can withstand. The left nostril represents water, and we are cultivating heat with the breath of fire, The left side of the body is moon, but the ring finger represents sun. These opposites create a healing dynamic in the body. They spark your immune system, and optimize your health. This meditation is also known for bringing your inner talents into your outer expression. Cultivate your gifts.
